Calculate your weight on other planets

About the planet weight calculator

The Planetary Weight Calculator allows you to find out how much you would weigh on various solar system planets and the Moon. Weight depends on the force of gravity, which varies on each planet. For example, on Mars you will weigh much less than on Earth, but on Jupiter you will weigh much more!

How is weight calculated on another planet?

Weight on another planet is calculated by multiplying your weight on Earth by that planet's gravity coefficient. Each planet has its own gravitational force, expressed as a percentage of Earth's.

Weight on Planet = Weight on Earth × (Planet Gravity / Earth Gravity)

For example, if you weigh 70 kg on Earth, then on Mars (gravity 37.8%) you will weigh about 26.5 kg, and on Jupiter (gravity 236.4%) you will weigh about 165.5 kg.

Benefits of the calculator

Real gravity coefficients based on scientific data

Kilograms and pounds support for user convenience

Calculation for all planets of the solar system, including Pluto and the Moon

Tips for use

  • 💡Enter your real weight on Earth for accurate results
  • 💡Choose your preferred unit of measurement: kilograms or pounds
  • 💡Compare the results and find out where you will be lighter and where you will be heavier

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does weight differ on different planets?

Weight depends on the gravitational force of the planet. For example, on Mars the weight is less than on Earth because Mars' gravity is only 37.8% of Earth's, while on Jupiter the weight is greater due to its powerful gravity (236.4% of Earth's).

How to calculate weight on another planet?

Weight on a planet is calculated using the formula: Weight on a planet = weight on Earth × (gravity of the planet / gravity of the Earth). Our calculator automatically performs this calculation for all planets.

Why is Pluto included too?

Although Pluto is removed from the list of planets and classified as a dwarf planet, it remains an interesting example with very low gravity (only 7.1% of Earth's), making it an important comparison.

Interesting facts about gravity

Jupiter - the giant of gravity

On Jupiter you will weigh 2.36 times more due to its enormous mass. If you weigh 70 kg on Earth, on Jupiter it will be 165 kg!

Pluto - weightlessness

On Pluto, you will weigh only 7% of your Earth weight. A person weighing 70 kg on Earth would weigh only 5 kg there!

Moon - cosmic lightness

On the Moon you will weigh 6 times less than on Earth. This is why astronauts can jump so high on the lunar surface!
